How do I pay?
Payment is processed at the time of your session. We currently accept cash, debit/credit, and cheque. Most Extended Health Benefit (EHB) plans cover counselling from a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or Registered Social Worker (RSW). Please call your benefits provider (e.g. Great West Life) or check your online portal to confirm what coverage you have.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly request 24 hours notice for cancellation and rescheduling of appointments, otherwise, the full session fee will be charged. This applies to missed sessions also. Please understand that this policy is based on fairness to you, your therapist, and other clients needing appointments. There is a high demand for services and for certain times of day, and when you book a session, that time is reserved exclusively for you. We appreciate your understanding.
Do you charge for reports or letters?
Reports and letters are provided at the discretion of your therapist and are billed at their hourly rate. If you require a letter for any reason (work, school, travel, etc.), please let your therapist know and they will provide you with the total cost. There are no fees for emailed session receipts or account balance statements.
Can you direct bill my insurance or ICBC/ CVAP?
Unfortunately we are unable to direct bill any third party, including ICBC or CVAP. However, most Extended Healthcare Benefits (EHB) cover our services. Please check your benefits plan for “Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)” or “Clinical Counsellor” or “Registered Social Worker (RSW)” coverage. After your appointment we will provide you with an emailed receipt that you can submit digitally for reimbursement. This process usually does not take long, and the funds typically appear in your account within 1-2 weeks.
Do you offer evening and weekend availability?
Yes! Our therapists offer appointments between 9 am to 9 pm on weekdays and weekends.
What if I’m unsure about counselling or if ARC is right for me?
Our therapists are happy to provide a free 30 minute in-person or phone consultation before booking, to assess goodness of fit between client/ therapist. We believe it is essential for you to find a counsellor who you feel connected to and comfortable with. These consultations are truly obligation-free and we will not be hurt or offended if you decide not to book with us. We promise! In fact, we will be happy to provide you with a referral to another therapist or clinic.
